Not always. Some laptop batteries include a built-in cable, while others connect directly to the existing connector or ribbon cable already inside your laptop.

If a cable is required, it is normally permanently attached to the battery and visible in the product photos.

If your original battery connects using a cable already inside the laptop, you will simply reuse that cable when installing the replacement battery.

This is normal across most laptop brands including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Apple, Dynabook, Acer and ASUS.
